(1) In an effort to resolve violations, the AGO may provide the information you submitted to the entity or individual you are reporting. The AGO also may provide other law enforcement and regulatory agencies with the information that you share.

(2) In most circumstances, the information you provide to the AGO, including any associated correspondence and documentation, is considered a public record. As such, it may be made available to any member of the public who makes a public records request to the AGO pursuant to G.L. c. 66.

(3) The AGO brings lawsuits to enforce violations of the laws of the Commonwealth.  The AGO represents the Commonwealth not individuals, however. Therefore, the AGO cannot provide you with legal advice or act as your attorney.
