Inspection Request

Instructions: Fill out the form below (*indicates required field) to request a health inspection from the MDAR Apiary Program Team.

A copy of the completed form will be automatically emailed after submission to the email address provided. Note that this request is NOT the same as Apiary and Colony Registration (opens in new tab). If you wish to Register Your Apiary, complete this form.

Things you should know about inspections:

Inspections are done annually, time and weather permitting
Requests are reviewed Monday-Friday (except on State Holidays) by the Apiary Program Team
Priority is as follows: Bee Kill>Emergency>Dead-Out>Nuc>Colony>Used Equipment>Other
Live honey bee inspections are limited to the active bee season (i.e. April-October) and availability depends on weather conditions
Inspections may be delayed or canceled at the inspector’s discretion and with beekeeper notification, during inclement weather (i.e. rain, snow, heavy wind, or when temperatures <55°F or >95°F, etc.)
Dead-Out or used equipment inspections are available year round
