Massachusetts Saltwater Fishing Derby: Catch & Release Division

The Derby runs from January 1 through November 30 each year and is open to all ages. All anglers 16 and older must possess a Massachusetts Recreational Saltwater Fishing Permit. Junior categories in the Derby are for age 15 and under. Fish entered must be caught in a fair and sporting manner, on hook and line. About your catch

Fish must be released alive! The use of a gaff or harpoon is prohibited.
All entries should be measured to the nearest half-inch.

    Captain
    If you were fishing on a charter or head boat, enter the name of the captain. The captain with the most winning fish caught on their vessel will win the Derby's annual Best Captain in the Business award.
